The European Championship in equipped bench press, deadlift, and strict curl was held in Trutnov, Czech Republic.
Idman.biz reports that about 500 athletes from 40 countries participated in the competition.
Our country was represented in these competitions by 16 athletes and 1 coach in 3 sports. Members of our team won 11 gold medals.
In equipped bench press:
Ali Aliyev - 1st place (among adults - 140 kg) and a new world record was set.
Famil Maharramov - 1st place (among veterans - 140 kg)
In deadlift:
Vugar Namazov - 1st place (among adults, 140 kg)
Ilkin Namazov - 2nd place. (among adults, 140 kg),
Mahammad Huseynov - 1st place (equipped, among adults)
Seymur Guliyev - 2nd place (among adults, 125 kg)
Muhammad Naghiyev - 1st place, also 2nd place among absolute winners
