The opening ceremony of the Junior Figure Skating Grand Prix tournament held in Baku took place.
According to "Report", the event was organized at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, the President of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation Fuad Naghiyev, and other official guests.
Greeting the guests with an opening speech, F. Naghiyev wished success to the competition participants.
Then the floor was given to Farid Gayibov. The minister spoke about the importance of holding such sports tournaments in our country and said that interest in winter sports has increased in recent times. Finally, the competition was declared open.
It should be noted that the Grand Prix will end on September 26.
