Opening Ceremony of Coaches Forum Held in Azerbaijan

The opening ceremony of the Coaches Forum, held for the first time in Azerbaijan with the organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has taken place.

According to "Report", Minister Farid Gayibov, federation officials and experts attended the event in Baku Crystal Hall.

The ceremony started with the sounding of the National Anthem.

Farid Gayibov greeted the coaches. He noted that a number of events will be held during the sports week:

"March 5 is the Day of Physical Culture and Sports. Almost all of our regions have Olympic complexes. We have good results in sports. Azerbaijani sports are recognized in the world arena. Baku is the sports capital of the world this year. Foreign and local experts are participating in the 1st Coaches Forum. Sports are developing in the world along with all fields. Today our coaches use modern methods. But we must always learn. This is an important Forum for our coaches. Thank you all for participating."

The panel sessions of the Forum will be attended by the head coach of "Qarabağ" Gurban Gurbanov, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national volleyball team Faig Garayev, the vice-president of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, Olympic champion Namig Abdullayev, and the head coach of the Azerbaijan badminton team Morteza Validarvi.

Tahmina Tagi-zadeh, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), and

Haydar Demirel, Head of the Animal Research Laboratory of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Physiology of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Hacettepe University, will participate in the panel session on "Doping".
