Nakhchivan athletes won 23 medals at the "International Nevruz Judo Tournament" held in Igdir, Turkey.
The local bureau of "Report" reports that a total of 204 judokas from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran competed in the competition.
Members of the judo team of the Autonomous Republic won 9 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze medals. This is the first such high result in the history of Nakhchivan judo.
Sajjad Heydarov, Parvin Ismayilov, Adalat Mammad, Amin Guliyev, Ziya Asadli, Mursal Gafarli, Shahin Guliyev, Ilham Najafov and Huseyn Rzayev from our representatives became champions in different age groups.
Laman Baghirova, Muhammad Aliyev, Ali Jabbarov, Yusif Asadli, Matin Salahov, Aykhan Huseynov took second place, Yagmur Alizada, Sona Baghirova, Sadiq Guluzade, Adem Naghiyev, Muhammad Alakbarov and Tunar Huseynov took third place.
