Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Mukhtar Babayev, President of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation, speaking at the opening ceremony of the national sports climbing championship held in Baku.
He stated that sports contribute to young people leading a healthy lifestyle: "Professional and high-level athletes are competing in the championship. Thanks to the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, sports are developing in our country year by year. The organization of the national championship on the eve of Victory Day is a special moment. May God have mercy on all our martyrs and give health to our veterans."
It should be noted that the competition, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, will conclude on November 2.
