5-year-old Orujov Nihat Kanan is autistic. Nihat's mother, Samira Orucova, says that her financial resources are very limited for her child's treatment. Appealing to the mass media, the mother believes that our citizens and kind people will extend a helping hand.
Sport24.az reports that the mother said in her appeal to Fanat.Az that she is raising her 5-year-old child alone:
"After Nihat was born, we didn't notice anything unusual in the child at first. We thought he was like other children who started talking late. But gradually, strange things started to appear in his behavior. The child showed speech impairment, fear, sometimes excessive activity, and sometimes difficulty in understanding. I took him to the doctor. During the examinations, it became clear that my child has autism. Also, Kanner autism, which is a severe form of this disease."
S.Orucova stated that she is a single mother, she works, but she cannot meet the financial needs of her children with the salary she receives. On the one hand, Nihat's treatment costs make the situation even more difficult:
"My son is suffering, he needs long-term treatment, and one course of treatment costs 300 manats. Nihat lags behind his peers, does not react to anything. Nihat's disability has been confirmed these days. Initially, a benefit of 205 manats was assigned. Maybe the amount will increase later. However, it is not possible to continuously provide treatment for the child with the allowance and my small salary. Therefore, I appeal to our people, to merciful people, and ask for help. Whoever can afford it, please help."
