Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with athletes who achieved high results in international competitions last month. Sport24.az reports that at the meeting held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, appropriate certificates and badges were presented to people who were awarded the titles of "Honored Master of Sports of Azerbaijan" and "Master of Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
Farid Gayibov, highly appreciating the achievements gained in international arenas, congratulated the athletes and their coaches. In his speech, he said that the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played in 12 countries during March. Our athletes won a total of 40 gold, 35 silver and 43 bronze medals.
A video reflecting the achievements gained in international arenas was shown. Representatives of a number of sports provided information about the competitions they participated in and the results.
Finally, Farid Gayibov wished the athletes great victories in the upcoming competitions.
