Lent.az reports that the new contract with the Argentinian will be valid until the end of 2026.
The football player decided to extend his contract in order to play in the 2026 World Cup. At the same time, the new contract will include a clause regarding the player's loan to a European club for the period from the end of 2025 to the beginning of 2026, when there are no MLS games.
This season, Messi has played 22 games for the club in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 18 assists. The footballer's current contract with his current club runs until the winter of 2025. According to the Transfermarkt internet portal, the market value of the 37-year-old football player is 20 million euros.
