A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) and the Azerbaijan Archery Federation (ACAAF).
ACAAF told "Report" about this.
The document envisages the expansion of joint activities in the field of sports and health between the parties, as well as the implementation of prospective projects.
Welcoming the guests, Ilgar Mehrabov, Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs of AMU, spoke about the attention paid to the development of sports at the university. He emphasized that the Tabib Sports Club operating under AMU plays an important role in strengthening students' physical health, promoting a healthy lifestyle and forming sports traditions.
The Vice-Rector noted that the unity of medicine and sports is of great importance for society both theoretically and practically:
"The formation of young people in a healthy spirit and a healthy body is one of our main priorities. This cooperation is of great importance in terms of involving students in sports in the future, integrating them into the professional sports environment, and implementing joint initiatives in the field of health."
Farid Khalil, Secretary General of the Federation, spoke about the achievements of the organization he leads in recent years, and provided information about athletes who have achieved success at the national and international levels. He gave detailed information about the competitions, training camps and educational projects planned for the current year:
"Increasing interest in archery, especially promoting this field among young people, is one of our main goals. Cooperation with AMU will create new opportunities for us in promoting a healthy lifestyle and developing sports on a scientific basis."
The memorandum envisages the organization of joint events, seminars and trainings, the involvement of students in archery, as well as the implementation of educational projects in the field of health and sports. The parties expressed their confidence that the cooperation will be long-term and mutually beneficial.
The meeting was attended by Galandar Aslanov, Head of the Tabib Sports Club of AMU, Gunel Aslanova, Head of the Public Relations Department, as well as Aynur Huseynova, Press Secretary of the Azerbaijan Archery Federation, Kamran Hasanzade, Head of the Sports Department, and Laman Sultanli, Competition Manager.
