Majid Seyidov, the acting Minister of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, met with Ferma Hasanova, the winner of the second Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) held in Baku, as well as his coaches Heydar Mammadaliyev and Ibrahim Mammadaliyev.
Sport.Biz reports that during the meeting, M.Seyidov spoke about the state policy being implemented in the direction of the development of sports in our country, as well as the attention and care shown to athletes.
He stated that the increase in interest in combat sports in recent years, as well as Azerbaijan's successful hosting of the UFC tournament for the second time, is an indicator of the international prestige of the country's sports.
Majid Seyidov highly appreciated the athlete's victory in his UFC debut and congratulated him, wishing him success in future competitions.
Ferma Hasanova and his coaches expressed their gratitude for the attention shown and provided information about their plans for the upcoming competition and the preparation process.
Finally, the Deputy Minister presented the athlete with an honorary certificate for his achievements. At the end of the meeting, a commemorative photo was taken.
Note that F.Hasanova won an important victory by defeating Erik Nolan (USA) at the UFC tournament held in Baku in 2026.
