These words were spoken by Madina Sadigova, a member of the Azerbaijani national team and bronze medalist of the Islamic Games, who reached the final of the tournament.
"Before coming to this competition, we had a very intense training session. My goal is to collect good ranking points in the A Series and participate in the top 32 and larger competitions in the future. I am already in the final, I believe that I will take first place, I will play the Azerbaijani anthem and raise our flag," she said in a statement to AZERTAC.
It should be noted that 24-year-old Madina Sadigova entered the tatami in the 55 kg weight category and reached the final by defeating five athletes in the tournament.
It should be reminded that about 1,200 athletes from more than 70 countries of the world participate in the tournament held in Tbilisi. Azerbaijan is represented by 21 karatekas in this prestigious competition.
