Madat Guliyev elected Honorary Chairman of "Young Professional Cyclists" Public Union

Madat Guliyev has been elected Honorary Chairman of the "Young Professional Cyclists" Public Union (PU).

Idman.biz reports with reference to "Report" that this was announced at the next presentation ceremony of the PU.

At the meeting, detailed information was provided about the goals and objectives of the "Young Professional Cyclists" Public Union, future activities, as well as grant projects won in the competition, achievements in national and international sports competitions.

At the event, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council, National Hero of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev, Chairman of the PU Vugar Salahov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation Rufat Hasanov, Olympic champions Elnur Mammadov and Hidayat Heydarov, bronze and silver medalist of the Olympic Games, four-time European champion Haji Aliyev and other invited guests spoke and noted the unparalleled services of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva in the development of sports in our country, the organization of international sports competitions, increasing the sports reputation of the republic, and raising young people in a healthy and patriotic spirit.

The host of the event, member of the PU Firdovsi Karimov, announced that Madat Guliyev was elected Honorary Chairman of the "Young Professional Cyclists" PU by the decision of the general meeting, and that Natalya Vallek, a member of the PU, won the 1st place in the prestigious "GranFondo Başkent" international cycling race held in Ankara, Turkey, for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani cycling sports, and that Musa Mikayilzade, the coach of the PU, has repeatedly performed successfully in various tournaments.

Then, in accordance with the charter of the PU, goals were set for the future action plan.
