The "Kür" team, which lost to the Hungarian "Balatonfüred" team in the II qualifying round of the European Handball Cup, has experienced some problems this season.
The head coach of the Mingachevir representative, Nasser Salimi, said this in an interview with "Report".
The specialist said that they could not use the services of 6 members of the main team due to injury:
"The result of the two games was not good for us. But I was satisfied with the handball players and especially the last meeting against the Hungarian representative. In the last match, the opponent did not use all the substitutes. Because the quality of the game was better. We had some problems this season. If it was possible to use the services of all our players, we could have achieved better results in both matches. This is not an excuse, but 6 of our handball players were injured. Most of them are important players. Also, one of our best players had only recovered from his injury a week before the meeting in Hungary. For this reason, he was not in good condition. We must not forget that the level of the Hungarian team is currently higher than ours. However, our players worked hard and did their best".
The head coach also stated that he does not intend to make any changes in the team:
"I do not intend to make any changes in the team. I hope that most of the injured players will be fine in a month. Our plan is to perform well in the Azerbaijan championship and cup. There are very good teams in the championship. After that, we think about how to play against the opponents and keep the championship title. Of course, it is difficult, but we will do our best to achieve the goals".
It should be noted that "Kür" stopped the fight by losing to the Hungarian club with a score of 19:42 away and 20:39 in Baku in the II qualifying round of the European Cup.
