With the financial support of the Youth Foundation and the organization of the "Young Professional Cyclists Club" Public Union, the project "Karabakh Bike Ride – In the Footsteps of Victory" has been implemented. Sport24.az reports that the project was implemented within the framework of the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in 2025 to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among young people, promote loyalty to constitutional values, and demonstrate national unity in the liberated territories of Karabakh.
The bike ride, which started from the Aghdam region and continued towards the city of Khankendi, was attended by the National Hero of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev and many officials. About 100 young professional cyclists from different regions of the country covered a 44-kilometer route, connecting the symbolic places of Karabakh. This distance was chosen as a spiritual symbol of the 44-day Patriotic War.
The event aimed to contribute to increasing the attention of young people to the socio-economic revival of Karabakh and the development of ecotourism and sports infrastructure. At the same time, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the restoration and construction work carried out in these areas.
The bike ride ended in the city of Khankendi. At the event, the results of the project were presented and the contributions of the project to the development of sports and youth activity in Karabakh were emphasized. The chairman of the "Young Professional Cyclists Club" Public Union, Vugar Salahov, participated in the award ceremony and presented certificates of appreciation to all participants.
