Azerbaijan's national figure skating team has been joined by another young athlete.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation has released information about this.
It is reported that the organization's application to the International Skating Union (ISU) regarding junior figure skater Veronika Jilina has been positively evaluated and the athlete has been officially allowed to represent Azerbaijan in the single skating discipline.
Veronika Jilina will start competing in international competitions under the Azerbaijani flag from the 2026-2027 season.
Note that currently, Sabina Aliyeva, Leyla Akundova, Nargiz Suleymanova, and Arina Kalugina represent our country in international competitions in the single skating discipline.
