Judo tournament dedicated to the memory of January 20 martyrs to be held
The regional championship among young girls and boys under 15, dedicated to the memory of the January 20 martyrs, will be held jointly by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) and the Absheron-Khizi Regional Youth and Sports Department.
"Report" informs that the competition, which will be held from January 18 to 19, will take place at the Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complex.
More than 200 judokas in 18 weight categories will compete for medals in the championship between girls and boys.
The main purpose of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle through sports among adolescents and young people, as well as to achieve mass promotion and encouragement of judo. The competition is of a selection nature for the national championship to be held in the corresponding age group.
