On January 15, the Baku City Judo Championship among young judokas under 21 years old will be held jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the Baku City Youth and Sports Department.
"Report" reports that the winners in 14 weight categories among girls and boys will be determined at the competition to be held at the Sports Health Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) located in the Hovsan settlement.
About 200 judokas from more than 30 different clubs, societies and sports organizations of Baku will compete for medals in the competition.
The main purpose of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people through sports, as well as to achieve mass promotion and encouragement of judo. The competition is a selection for the national championship in the relevant age group.
