Although I took third place at the European Championship, I dedicate this success to the Azerbaijani military.
"Report" reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Islam Abbasov (87 kg) while commenting on winning a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
He stated that he wanted to achieve a result after a long break:
"The fight for the medal was tough. My body had not fully recovered after the previous tough fights. Although I did not win the championship, I took third place. I wanted to achieve a result after a long break. Although I took third place, I dedicate this success to the Azerbaijani military."
