Due to the drastic deterioration of weather conditions, the rescue operation took more than four hours. Rescuers who arrived at the scene found the lifeless bodies of eight people. One more person is considered missing, and the search for him is currently ongoing.
It should be noted that "Apple" has added a function to smartphones to send emergency assistance signals via satellite, starting with the "iPhone 14" model. The company has announced that it has extended the free use of this service until the end of 2026.
