A mass running event was held jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation and the "Zafar" Running Club.
"Report" informs that 160 participants competed in the race organized on the Boyukshor boulevard and dedicated to the 86th anniversary of athlete Tarverdi Aliyev.
Along with local athletes, representatives of Turkey, Russia, Great Britain, Iran, China, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan determined the winners in various categories in the 12 km run. Samir Huseynov became the winner of the competition in the general category among men. Natalia Valek rose to the highest step of the podium among women.
In the categories of participants over 40, 50 and 60 years old, Elshad Nasibov, Yadigar Huseynov, Tapdig Dadashov among men, and Irina Khalilova and Alyona Suleymanova among women distinguished themselves, respectively.
