There has been a change in the composition of the "Clash of Champions" tournament, which will be jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Carpet Museum.
Report informs that Indian world champion Viswanathan Anand said that he will not be able to travel due to health problems, based on the opinion of doctors.
V.Anand, who applied to the Azerbaijan Chess Federation in this regard, said that he would participate in the next competitions with great pleasure.
In the tournament to be held at the National Carpet Museum from April 28 to 30, Azerbaijani champion Rauf Mammadov will compete against Uzbek world champion Rustam Kasimdzhanov.
It should be noted that Gunay Mammadzada, the winner of the women's national championship, will compete with world and European champion Antoaneta Stefanova in the same tournament. The winner of the "Clash of Champions" will be determined based on the sum of rapid and blitz tournaments.
