Portuguese swimmer Hannah Kaldas has been banned from participating in all competitions for a period of five years.
Idman.Biz reports that the decision was made by the International Swimming Federation.
This decision was made because the athlete refused to take the gender verification test required to participate in the women's category at the 2024 Masters World Championships.
As a result, Hannah Kaldas has been suspended from all competitions until October 2030, and all her results from June 2022 to October 2024 will be invalidated.
It should be reminded that the 47-year-old transgender swimmer has previously achieved several successes in indoor rowing competitions and set a world record. She has also excelled in CrossFit.
