Azerbaijan's handball Higher League referees, sisters Laman and Aydan Hamidova, will participate in the Universiade, which will be held in Covilhã, Portugal, between July 22–29.
The Handball Federation's press service informed "Report" about this.
In the competition, which will be organized within the framework of the European Handball Federation's "Young Referees Project", 24 teams will compete in 4 groups.
In addition to managing the matches, Azerbaijani representatives will take exams on game rules, physical fitness and English language at seminars, and will also participate in practical analyses related to match management.
It should be noted that the Hamidova sisters, Laman and Aydan, also refereed at the open European championship held in Gothenburg, Sweden, last year.
