Gunay Arazova, a fitness model and development consultant, was the guest of the new edition of the "Qapqara" program. She shared her critical view on the current situation in the fitness sector in Azerbaijan and stated that the concept of professionalism has been severely deformed.
İdman.Biz reports that, according to Gunay Arazova, simply having a certificate does not make a person a professional trainer.
In her opinion, this field is currently mainly based on profit:
"It is impossible to become a trainer with just a certificate. Fitness has reached a point where some trainers resort to anything to make money. They put 15 people in a group, but they are not individually interested in anyone's problems."
Arazova also touched upon the topic of nutrition, emphasizing the increase in abuses in this area:
"When they contact me, they ask if my diets are expensive? I feel like crying when I hear this question. I teach people how to eat properly. But there are people who sell it under the name of 'special recipe'".
The fitness model also spoke about the impact of being a professional athlete on her personal life. She stated that this lifestyle is sometimes misunderstood by the people around her:
"There are many people who want to interfere in my life. The first thing men who want to meet me say is 'why are you working out, you don't need it'. As soon as I hear this sentence, I cut off the dialogue".
According to her, the people in her close circle should also share the same lifestyle:
"All the people around me should be professional athletes and eat like me".
