During the Duathlon race held in Izmir organized by the Turkish Triathlon Federation, a lamb entered the running track and caused colorful scenes by running with the participants.
İdman.Biz reports that the animal, presented as a "fugitive athlete", attracted the attention of both athletes and spectators.
Adnan Yahşi, the triathlon representative of Izmir, who spoke about the incident, stated that such an event was happening to them for the first time:
"Dogs and cows had joined the races before. This is the first time this lovely lamb has joined us. He was very scared, but he is very sweet."
The lamb, which stayed on the running track for a short time, was later removed from the area under the supervision of the organizers.
