Former football player and head coach of the English club "Manchester United", Ole Gunnar Solskjær, has become the head coach of the Turkish club "Besiktas".
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the 51-year-old Norwegian's contract is until the end of the 2025/26 season, with the option of extending it for another year.
Solskjær replaced Serdar Topraktepe, who was appointed interim head coach of "Besiktas" in December 2024 after the resignation of Dutchman Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
"Besiktas" is in sixth place in the Turkish Super League after 18 games with 30 points, 21 points behind leader "Galatasaray".
Solskjær had been without a club since November 2021, when he was sacked as head coach of "Manchester United", which he had managed since December 2018.
