The presentation ceremony of the film "Following the Dream," dedicated to Elmira Aslanova, the first Azerbaijani female mountaineer to conquer Mount Everest, has taken place.
İdman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that the ceremony was organized at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, called Elmira Aslanova's ascent to the world's highest peak a great success. He emphasized that the film turned out interesting.
The President of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation, Mukhtar Babayev, highly appreciated Elmira Aslanova's success. He stated that achieving this among women is a great courage.
Elmira Aslanova thanked her brother Eldar for his support: "I have been to many countries, but there is no warm relationship like in Azerbaijani families anywhere else. It is true that my father is worried about me being in this field. But he does not spare his support for me, he is always there for me. I am grateful to the film director Arzu Urshan."
The film "Following the Dream" is not only the success of a female mountaineer but also a clear example of the achievements of women in Azerbaijan in extreme sports. At the same time, this screen work once again demonstrates the power of human will and determination.
It should be noted that August 8 is also celebrated as World Mountaineering Day.
