First time to happen in country's badminton

Azerbaijan will be represented for the first time at the World Badminton Championship with 6 athletes in 4 categories. Sport24.az reports that 6 of our badminton players have qualified to participate in 4 categories at the World Championship to be held in Paris, the capital of France, on August 25-31, based on the ranking.

Edi Reski Dvichayo and Diki Pangestu in the men's badminton singles, Keisha Fatima Zahra in the women's badminton singles, the pair of Agil Gabilov-Diki Pangestu in the men's doubles category and the tandem of Jahid Alhasanov - Hajar Nuriyeva in the mixed doubles category will represent our country at the World Championship.

It should be noted that one of the main goals of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation's strategy for 2025-2028 is to ensure the regular participation of our badminton players in all categories at the European and World Championships in the coming years.
