The XXI World Championship among men and the XII World Championship among women in fire and rescue sports are planned to be held in Azerbaijan in 2026.
According to "Report", Aleksandr Chupriyan, President of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, announced this at the XXVI International Conference of Heads of Fire and Rescue Services of Member Countries of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers in Baku.
He noted that the three-day conference in Baku envisages the discussion of a wide range of issues and a large amount of work: "We will also visit the sports base where the next World Fire and Rescue Sports Championship is planned to be held. Currently, the international federation represents 35 countries from three continents. The geography of the championships is expanding. We are still under the impression of the recent World Championships for men and women in Riyadh and are already starting to talk about possible competitions that could be held in Azerbaijan next year."
