The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has refused to grant neutral status to Russian athlete Lala Kramarenko because she does not meet the criteria for admission to international competitions.
"Report" reports that RIA Novosti reported this.
It was reported that this was due to the athlete's photo with Irina Viner, the former head coach of the national rhythmic gymnastics team, her participation in a gala concert dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day, and her support for the symbols of the Special Military Operation.
The FIG decision is final and must be implemented immediately. It was reported that Lala Kramarenko appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
It should be noted that Lala Kramarenko is the daughter of Dmitry Kramarenko, the former goalkeeper of the Azerbaijan national team.
