FIDE announces the host country of the prestigious chess tournament

The country hosting the prestigious "Grand Swiss" tournament for men and women has been determined.

"Report" informs that the press service of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) has released information about this.

The competition will be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from September 3-15.

The top 2 finishers in both the women's and men's competitions will directly qualify for the Candidates Tournament in 2026.
