Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, Deputy Chairman of the Bureau of Parties to the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport, participated in an online information meeting with the parties on the topic "20th Anniversary of the International Convention Against Doping in Sport and Preparation for COP10" in Paris, the capital of France.
The press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports informed "Report" about this.
In his speech, the Minister emphasized the active participation of our country in these processes and noted the importance of strengthening transparent control mechanisms, creating a sustainable financing model, and deepening international cooperation.
The event was attended by representatives of the States Parties to the Convention, international organizations, as well as experts in the field of anti-doping.
The meeting discussed the COP10 preparation process, the plan of events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Convention, as well as proposals on financing, management, monitoring and peaceful settlement of disputes.
