On July 6, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with athletes who successfully represented our country in international competitions in June.
Idman.Biz reports that the meeting organized at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy began with the playing of the National Anthem. A video showcasing the achievements gained in international arenas over the past month was also demonstrated.
Then Minister Farid Gayibov highly appreciated the successes of athletes in international arenas. The minister noted that during June, the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played in 24 countries. Our athletes won a total of 108 gold, 81 silver and 95 bronze medals. Farid Gayibov congratulated the employees of Azerbaijani state agencies on their victory, who successfully performed at the III World Corporate Games, winning 4 gold and 1 bronze medal.
Later, representatives of various sports genres shared information about the competitions they participated in and the results they achieved.
Finally, Minister Farid Gayibov wished the athletes even greater success in future competitions.
