On December 5, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with athletes who achieved high results in international competitions last month.
Idman.Biz reports that the meeting held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy began with the performance of the National Anthem.
Then, Minister Farid Gayibov, who highly appreciated the achievements of our athletes in the international arena, congratulated the athletes and their coaches. Minister Farid Gayibov said in his speech that the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played in 16 countries during the month of November. During this month, our athletes won a total of 52 gold, 52 silver and 72 bronze medals.
During the meeting, a video reflecting the achievements gained in the international arena during the month was shown.
Then, representatives of a number of sports provided information about the competitions they participated in and the results.
Finally, Minister Farid Gayibov wished the athletes greater success in the upcoming competitions.
