Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov during a meeting with athletes who achieved high results in international competitions last month.
The meeting, organized at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, began with the sounding of the National Anthem. Then, individuals awarded the titles of "Honored Master of Sports of Azerbaijan" and "Master of Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan" were presented with relevant certificates and badges.
Later, Minister Farid Gayibov, highly appreciating the achievements of our athletes in international arenas, congratulated the athletes and their coaches. Minister Farid Gayibov stated in his speech that the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played in 12 countries during March. This month, our athletes won a total of 40 gold, 35 silver, and 43 bronze medals.
A video showcasing the achievements gained in international arenas was shown. Representatives of several sports provided information about the competitions they participated in and their results.
