President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) Emin Amrullayev met with Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Andreas Zagklis, 3x3 basketball tournament manager Ms. Yovana Vukoye and Champions League commercial director Benjamin Qoute.
"Report" informs that during the meeting, the development of 3x3 basketball in Azerbaijan and the existing perspectives in this field, as well as the participation of young basketball players in the Champions League were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of Azerbaijani clubs' intensive participation in international arenas, including the Champions League, in the coming seasons.
An exchange of views was also held on the steps that can be taken in this direction and possible cooperation opportunities. At the same time, the meeting discussed the organized development of the Azerbaijan Basketball League, the improvement of the league's structure, the increase of commercial potential, the adaptation of the management and infrastructure levels of local clubs to international standards, as well as the general development strategy of basketball in the country.
