Idman.biz reports with reference to RIA Novosti Sport that these words were said by Emin Agalarov while commenting on the situation regarding the Russian figure skater Veronika Zhilina's desire to change her sports citizenship and represent Azerbaijan in international competitions.
The famous Azerbaijani businessman, however, mentioned that there are certain difficulties with the implementation of the process: "Unfortunately, the athlete has been out for about two years and we would not want her to miss the opportunity to participate in the Olympics. I am sure that she is really professional. But I trust the opinion of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko more. He was Veronika's coach and believes in her success."
It should be noted that earlier the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) did not allow Veronika Zhilina to change the country she represents. However, the International Skating Union (ISU) may consider her case on July 4-5.
