The first national Rugby Union championship was held at the Shamakhi Olympic Center.
Idman.Biz reports that the competition was attended by the hosts "Shamakhi OC", as well as the rugby clubs "Qarabağ", "Dunya Warriors" and "Tigers".
The winner of the national championship was the "Dunya Warriors" team of the Khazar University World School. In the group stage, the team took first place with two wins and one draw, and according to the regulations, advanced directly to the final, where they defeated the "Shamakhi OC" team with a score of 5:2.
The third place was taken by the "Qarabağ" team.
