Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Farhad Hajiyev discussed the Sumo World Championship to be held in Baku in 2026 with Katsuya Watanabe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to our country.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports that during the meeting, the World Cup, as well as attracting sports enthusiasts from Japan to our country within the framework of Baku - the "Sports Capital" of the world, organizing joint training camps and other issues were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry, Zarifa Zulfugarova, Head of the International Relations Department, and Taichi Tsuchiya, First Secretary of the Embassy.
