Veteran British football player David Beckham gifted Alexander Ovechkin, the new top scorer of the National Hockey League and Russian forward for the Washington Capitals. Sport24.az reports that Ovechkin's wife, Anastasia Shubskaya, shared the news on her social media account.
In honor of the hockey player, the Brit gifted him a snow-white cleat with his autograph and the inscription: "Congratulations on scoring 895 goals."
It is worth noting that Ovechkin has broken Wayne Gretzky's long-standing National Hockey League record.
