The preliminary date for the elections for the presidency of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been announced. According to the official website of the organization, Sport24.az reports that the election is scheduled for March 20.
The date may be changed depending on the course of events. The 144th IOC session will be held in Greece from March 18-21. 7 candidates will compete for victory in the election. On January 30, the candidates will present their programs to the IOC members at a closed meeting in Lausanne.
It should be noted that the current president of the organization, Thomas Bach, has announced that he will not be a candidate for president for the next term.
