French interim heavyweight champion Cyril Gane has announced his intention to fight current 265-pound titleholder Tom Aspinall in a UFC event in Paris in September.
Idman.Biz reports that Gane won against Aleks Pereyra by technical knockout at the "UFC White House — Freedom 250" tournament.
"A rematch with Aspinall? There's nothing to resolve. We just have unfinished business. I think we had a good fight. It was a great night. Nothing was over, it was just the first round. There's unfinished business to settle.
So why wait?! Why not fight in Paris on September 5? I feel good, let's do it. I'm not injured, I'm fine... I'm ready to return to training next week", - Gane said.
