Vahid Mammadov, a member of the national chovgan team, dedicated their victory over Uzbekistan in the final of the III CIS Games to the Azerbaijani army.
According to information from a "Report" correspondent dispatched to Shaki, the athlete stated this in a statement to journalists.
He stated that they had prepared well for the game:
"The match with Uzbekistan was intense. We prepared both ourselves and our horses well for the final. That's why we won. We dedicate our victory to the glorious Azerbaijani army."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national chovgan team defeated Uzbekistan 3:0 in the final match of the III CIS Games.
