Azerbaijani karate fighter Chingiz Abbasov won a gold medal at the "International Marmara Cup Tournament" held in Istanbul, Turkey.
"Report" reports that our representative, competing in the 22 kg weight category (6-7 age category), defeated the local athlete in the decisive stage.
It should be noted that 67 athletes represent Azerbaijan at the tournament, which is attended by 1837 karate fighters from 28 countries. The competition, held among children, youth, adolescents, and adults, will conclude on August 24.
