An interesting event was organized in Barcelona, Spain, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Barcelona Metro.
İdman.Biz reports that participants in the race held in the city's underground tunnels covered a distance of 5.2 kilometers through three stations.
After receiving 5,000 applications for the race, the organizers randomly selected only 250 people to participate. Athletes started the race in 20-second intervals.
The race was not competitive, but the best recorded result was 16 minutes and 54 seconds.
All funds raised will be used for charitable purposes for research and treatment of neurological diseases.
