A new sport called "Braveball" is rapidly spreading in Eastern Europe and has caused great controversy due to its intensity. This game, which consists of an extraordinary combination of football and boxing, completely turns classic sports concepts upside down.
İdman.Biz reports that "Braveball" was created by the "Be Brave" martial arts club operating in Poland. In a short time, this game has crossed the Polish borders and spread to other Eastern European countries. The most striking feature of the game is that both men and women can participate together in this tough competition.

History of creation and popular regions
The foundation of the game was laid in Poland in recent years. "Braveball", created to manage the physical endurance and aggression of athletes involved in martial arts, is currently popular in a number of Eastern European countries, especially Poland. Although no major professional championships have been organized at the global level yet, intense matches are regularly held between local clubs and amateurs.
Basic rules of the game
"Braveball" matches seem like a regular football game at first glance. But this similarity lasts until the players get close to each other. While fighting for the ball, opponents can freely punch, wrestle and use boxing techniques. That is, the player must both control the ball and protect himself from the opponent's blows. Referees are on the field only to prevent serious injuries and to count goals.

Team composition and format
Since "Braveball" is a sport that does not have fully established official global standards and is still developing, the number of players in the teams varies depending on the format of the tournament and the size of the field (or cage) where the match is held. Games are usually held in closed halls or special cage-type fields.
Currently, matches are mainly played in a three-on-three (three players in each team) or four-on-four format. In smaller cages, games can also be played in a two-on-two format.

The main reason for keeping the number of players on the field low is to maintain high dynamics and prevent crowding. Thanks to this, each athlete actively moves with the ball and demonstrates his fighting skills by being in direct and more physical contact with the opponent.
Since hard contacts are allowed, players are required to wear protective boxing gloves and special protective clothing.
Although "Braveball" has become a great attraction for extreme sports enthusiasts, its level of danger is still criticized by sports experts.
