On April 12, the national backgammon championship was held jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan National Sports Association. Sport24.az reports that athletes representing various clubs, societies, and sports organizations competed for medals in the competition held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.
The following individuals took the top three places in the championship, which was held in a tense and interesting competitive environment:
1st place: Bayram Bayramov (Guba)
2nd place: Asim Salahov (Bilgah)
3rd place: Vagif Abbasov (Khankendi)
