Balakishi Gasimov re-elected as President of Azerbaijan Fencing Federation

Balakishi Gasimov has been re-elected as the President of the Azerbaijan Fencing Federation (AFF).

Idman.Biz reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Fencing Federation that the federation's general meeting was held today.

The event, organized in the administrative building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, began with the singing of the National Anthem. Farid Gayibov, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, addressed the event, welcoming the meeting participants and wishing them success.

The memory of the late Vice-President Farhad Kasimov, who passed away at the age of 61, was commemorated with a minute of silence. The Secretary General of AFF, Vasif Mammadov, spoke and provided information about the activities of the organization during 2022-2025, the work to be done, the competitions held, and the achievements made.

Then elections were held for the leadership of the AFF. According to the results of the voting, Balakishi Gasimov was elected as the president of the federation for the next 4 years, Fikret Zeynalov as the vice-president, and Vasif Mammadov as the secretary general. Fikret Zeynalov, Vasif Mammadov, Sadig Sadigov and Adila Ahmadova were elected as members of the Executive Committee.

Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade congratulated B. Gasimov on his re-election as the President of the AFF. In the end, B. Gasimov spoke and expressed his gratitude for the trust shown.
