The Baku Championship among junior judokas under 15 years old was held jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the Baku City Youth and Sports Department.
According to
"Report", the winners in 18 weight categories among girls and boys were determined at the competition held at the Sports Health Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) located in the Hovsan settlement.
761 judokas from 64 different clubs, societies and sports organizations of Baku competed for medals in the competition.
According to the total team score, Baku city UGIM No. 10 took 1st place in terms of the number of medals, the Republican Complex Sports School took 2nd place, and Baku city IOEUGIM No. 8 took 3rd place. 19 teams won medals of various merit.
The main purpose of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people through sports, as well as to achieve mass promotion and encouragement of judo. The competition is a selection for the national championship among young people under 15 years old, which will be held on February 27 – March 2.
