The official logo of the Baku 2026 Sumo World Championship has been presented to the public.
Idman.Biz reports that the logo was developed based on the concept of combining the basic philosophy of sumo wrestling with the national and cultural values of Azerbaijan.
The sumo wrestler in the center of the logo is presented as a symbol of strength and balance. The unity of the athlete's figure with the fire element expresses dynamism, fighting spirit and the high level of competition of the championship.
The pomegranate motif used in the composition acts as a symbol of unity and abundance in Azerbaijani culture. The circular shape represents the dohyo, the sumo ring, and the crescent represents national identity and cultural affiliation.
The presented logo aims to visually express both the sporting spirit of the Baku 2026 Sumo World Championship and the rich cultural heritage of the host country.
It is worth reminding that the championship will be held on October 17-18 at the Baku Sports Hall.
